Gas Analysis On-board Ships - a Special Environment with Special Challenges

It is not self-evident that measuring instruments that work well on land also can be used on-board ships. For one thing, special tests and approvals are often needed to use the equipment, and for another, the instruments must be very reliable and have long maintenance intervals, since the ships and thus the instruments are only available during short harbour visits. However, OPSIS instruments have several marine certifications and their reliability and minimal need for calibration and other maintenance is well documented.
