Marine environments require marine systems
The OPSIS System M800 for shipboard installation is based on the proven System 400 components but is specifically adapted and approved for marine use. It can be used both for emissions monitoring and for monitoring SO2 scrubbers.
OPSIS System M800 for marine use is basically a System 400CS supplemented with an instrument cabinet. However, all sub-products included in the system including analysers, emitters and receivers, etc. are specially adapted for the marine environment with extra vibration damping and measures to shield electromagnetic fields. The marine adapted products have an 'M' in the product name, for example the gas analyser AR620M and the emitter/receiver set ER060M.
An OPSIS System M800 always includes emitter, receiver, optical fibre, analyser, and instrument cabinet. The system is offered in three different technical versions:
Using a multiplexer, the M800 system can handle up to nine different light paths, allowing a single system to monitor emissions gases from multiple power sources after several purification steps. This makes for a very cost-effective monitoring system. The reliability and long maintenance intervals further contribute to making the OPSIS System M800 the best choice for emissions and process monitoring on board ships.
The M800 system can be equipped with a built-in web interface that allows the user to control and monitor the system via the internet or local network. The solution is based on the WT256 web-based data logger, which also allows real-time calculation of, for example, SO2/CO2 ratios and efficient communication of the monitoring and calculation results to the ship's control system.
OPSIS DOAS systems have been tested and approved by several international test institutes, including Bureau Veritas, DNV, and Lloyd's Register.
