As shipping accounts for a significant share of global air pollution, stricter rules on ship emissions were introduced in 2015. Among other things, each ship owner had to limit the sulfur content of their emissions. There are two ways to do this. The first is to use low-sulfur fuel. The second is to install purification equipment - a scrubber. A scrubber is very cost-effective, but the rules require measuring the sulfur content to ensure the scrubber is working properly. And to do that, the best solution is to have an OPSIS System M800 on board.
